Fat cats
Do you care about your cat enough that if you noticed that he or she was becoming overwhelmingly overweight and you want to do something about it. You’ve come to the right place as were here to give you the inside scoop on how to prevent your cat from becoming fat.
The staggeringly large amount of cats
Cats have taken over on dogs in the world today. The reason has to do with how many more times cats reproduce and how many kittens at a time are being produced with each litter as compare to dogs. Dogs are great because you can train them. However, cat lovers will all agree that dogs smell bad when they are wet and so for no other apparent reason, they like cats better.
Out of all cats in the world, 40% of them are considered obese. This is because they laze around all day and we pet them and feed them and love them. Cats live like kings and queens from the 19th century because we cater to their every need. Don’t you want to be a fat cat now?
The problem
Ok, there is a definite problem with having such a large percent of our cats overweight. The problem has to do with what were feeding them. For thousands of years the cats have lived eating whatever they can from the lands and fields. Then, suddenly, they can laze around eating processed dry cat food that is high in carbohydrates for years on end.
Cats have no carbohydrate digestive enzyme to help break down the food. The Enzyme is call Amylase and it’s found in saliva, but cats do not have it. So as soon as we humans eat carbohydrates, they immediately start being broken down starting from first point of contact which is the mouth.
The solution
We simple change our cat’s diet over to a more carnivorous friendly diet. These types of diets are rich in fat and protein and still have carbohydrates but not as much. Can food will suffice, but it’s expensive. Use a dry matter calculator if you want to find out the exact amounts of protein and fat in your cats dry food. Search Google and you’ll find a ton of dry matter cat food calculators.
